LIPS TREATMENTS

LIPS BLUSH

As we age our lips lose their fullness and colour. A Lip Blush Tattoo can help restore your lips to their youthful appearance, whilst correcting asymmetries and re-defining natural lip contours for a more perfect look! You can choose a soft, natural or bold colour.

Ideal for women wanting fuller, more defined lip contours, LIP BLUSHING takes the hassle out of reapplying lip liner and lipstick throughout the day. Your lips will always be on point, and the colour won’t disappear if you are eating, drinking, or playing, leaving you looking drained and pale!

Besides enhancing the fullness and shape of your mouth, lip blushing can also be used to correct inherent asymmetries – perfect if you have lost colour, shape or lip definition due to the ravages of time

Lip Blush Tattoo

- STEP 1 -

The initial procedure takes approximately 2-3 hours. During this time, a consultation is done where we discuss your desired brow look, choose a colour tone and draw the initial outline of the procedure area for your approval.

- STEP 2 -

The second stage of the treatment is a TOUCH-UP appointment. The touch up takes approximately 1 hour and is included in your service.

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

  • Avoid Retinoids/Retinol for 1-2 weeks before your appointment, as they can affect the healing process.

  • No Lip Fillers for at least 4 weeks prior to the procedure.

  • Stay Hydrated and use a lip balm in the days leading up to your appointment.

  • Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine for 24 hours before your session, as these can affect the tattooing process.

  • No Sun Exposure or tanning 2-3 days before your appointment.

  • Come with clean, makeup-free lips.

AFTER THE TREATMENT

First 24-48 Hours:

Avoid Touching: Do not touch, rub, or scratch your lips. This will help prevent infection and irritation. Keep Lips Dry: Avoid excess moisture, such as licking your lips or using lip balm during the first 24 hours. You can gently dab the lips with a clean tissue if needed. No Makeup: Do not apply makeup (especially lip products) to your lips for at least 7 days. No Swimming or Sauna: Avoid swimming, saunas, or any activity that may expose your lips to excess moisture or bacteria.

Days 3-7 (Healing Phase):

Apply Aftercare Ointment: Use the aftercare ointment provided (or recommended) to keep your lips hydrated and protected. Apply it in a thin layer, 2-3 times per day. Avoid Excessive Moisture: Do not soak your lips in water (no hot showers, swimming, or sweating excessively). Keep them dry during the healing process. No Scratching or Picking: As your lips heal, you may notice some flaking or peeling. This is normal! Please do not pick or peel the skin, as it can affect the pigment and cause scarring. Be Gentle: Gently pat your lips with a clean, soft towel after washing your face. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the area.

Days 7-14 (Continued Healing):

Continue Moisturizing: Keep your lips hydrated with the recommended ointment or lip balm. You can start to apply lip balm more frequently after the first week .Avoid Sun Exposure: Do not expose your lips to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least 2 weeks. Sun exposure can fade the pigment and cause irritation. Avoid Heavy Exercise: Avoid excessive sweating or intense workouts for the first 7-10 days, as it can interfere with the healing process.

1-4 Weeks (Healing Process Continues):

Color Fading: Your lips may appear darker right after the procedure, but this will fade as the skin heals. Expect the color to soften and lighten over the next 1-2 weeks. Healing Completion: The initial healing period is around 2 weeks, but full healing can take 4-6 weeks. Please be patient as the color settles and your lips heal.

Things to Avoid Throughout Healing:

No Exfoliating: Avoid scrubbing or exfoliating your lips during the healing process. Avoid Touching the Area: Refrain from touching your lips unnecessarily to prevent bacteria from causing an infection. No Smoking or Drinking Alcohol: Smoking and drinking alcohol can slow down the healing process, so try to avoid both during the first week.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Lip blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo designed to enhance the natural colour, shape, and definition of your lips. On average, lip blush lasts between2 to 3 years, but the longevity can vary depending on factors like:

Skin Type

– Oily skin may fade the pigment faster compared to dry or normal skin.

Aftercare

– Proper care during the healing process is crucial for long-lasting results. Skipping sunscreen, picking scabs, or using harsh skincare products can impact longevity.

Lifestyle

– Habits like smoking, frequent sun exposure, or exfoliating the lips often can cause the colour to fade sooner.

Colour Choice

– Softer, more natural tones may fade slightly faster than bold or darker shades.

To keep your lip blush looking fresh, many clients opt for a

touch-up session after 12–18 months. This refreshes the pigment and keeps your lips looking flawless.

HEALING TIME

The healing process for lip blush typically takes around 5 to 10 days, but full recovery and colour settling can take up to 6 weeks. Here’s what you can expect during the healing timeline:

Day 1-2:

Your lips will appear bold and vibrant immediately after the procedure. They may feel slightly swollen or tender, but this is completely normal.

Day 3-5:

The peeling phase begins. Your lips might flake as the top layer of pigment settles. Avoid picking at the flakes—let them shed naturally to prevent uneven healing.

Day 6-10:

The peeling subsides, and the colour will appear lighter or patchy. Don’t worry—this is temporary as the pigment settles beneath the skin.

Weeks 2-6:

The colour gradually develops and softens into its final shade. This is when you’ll see the true results of your lip blush
